Full Job Description
Purpose:
Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on Ambulances and administrative vehicles.
Job Duties:
Performs basic diagnostics and reports on equipment at the shop
Maintains current knowledge of new and current equipment.
Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
All other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
2 years of experience performing service repairs. (preferred)
Ability to perform basic and advanced repairs and required maintenance.
Proficient knowledge of mechanical and ambulance-related electrical systems.
General and preventative maintenance including diagnostic testing routine maintenance and determining a course of action for damaged parts and systems.
Complete preventative maintenance for vehicles and inspect equipment to detect excessive wear
Regularly service/preventative maintain vehicles to maintain functionality.
Resolve issues from inspections or scheduled repairs to include electrical systems repairs, brake systems repairs, transmission repairs, and replacing worn-out parts
Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices and then repair
Diagnose and repair vehicle heating and cooling systems
Responsible for parts inventory and purchase
Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on assets using work orders in Traumasoft
Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
Proficient oral and written communication skills
Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly
Set up and maintain an organized shop.
ASE Certification in brakes, steering and suspension.
High School Diploma or equivalent
A valid driver's license with a recent clean driving record is required
